Macau - January 2014 (Tourist Attractions & Food)

This post is continue from another previous post named
Macau - January 2014 (Galaxy Hotel & Food).
This post will highlight on tourist attractions and food that we eat.

On our way from Macau Airport to Galaxy Hotel.

As said in previous post, we took hotel free shuttle bus to Ferry Terminal.

Took this photo from Ferry Terminal while walking to Fisherman's Wharf.
Just less than 10 minutes walk.

Macau Fisherman's Wharf.
Day time nothing much to see but evening will be different story.
This place is quite big, you need to explore it further.
When we reached this place, I told myself "did I came to the wrong place?"
Thanks goodness, I asked one old lady and she is kind enough
to tell me to walk further.

At the end of the Fisherman's Wharf, we took public bus to Senado Square
and Ruins of St Paul.  The same old lady taught us the way and some students
also help us.  I find Macau people are very friendly compare to Hongkies.

It cost us MPO 3.20 per person from Fisherman's Wharf to Senado Square.
Make sure you have enough change, if not, you won't get refund from the
bus driver.  Less than 5 minutes walk, we reached Senado Square.

Senado Square.
The floor paved with a wave patterned mosaic coloured stones
created by the Portuguese.

There is a Tourist Center inside this building.
Go in and get some information or travel guide brochures.
I even asked them for the information to take public bus transport
back to the Ferry Terminal.

Look for this signage to go to Ruins of St Paul.
You won't get lost.

Heard that this Church situation in the Senado Square is very very old.
The architecture of this building is so beautiful.

Walkway to Ruins of St Paul.  You will find hundred of shops
selling snacks, drinks, clothes and etc.

I prefer our Malaysian Dried Meat.
Macau version is harder and ours are softer.

Ruins of St Paul.
Built in 17th century and sadly destroyed by fire in 1835 and
what remains till today is the facade of the Church and St Paul's College.

If you see this, you must buy and eat it.
It is very delicious and flavourful.

You will see many many shops selling this snacks especially
Macau famous Egg Tarts.

Macau famous Egg Tarts.

Back to Ferry Terminal.  All these buses are provided by the hotel Galaxy
that we stayed and also by other hotels.  You just look for your hotel bus
and hop in only.   Very easy and problem free.

Statue of Goddess of Mercy.

Macau Tower.

To be continued at another last post.
The last post will be about other hotels that we visited.
